Constant-force top chord truss

The form of the truss is found graphically by specifying a constant force in the top chord. The design is based on the dominant load case, a uniformly distributed load. Use the slider to change the magnitude of the constant force in the top chord.
Check the box to add an asymmetrical point load and see what happens. Use the sliders to move the point load along the span of the truss and change its magnitude. The need for the diagonals depends on the ratio between the dominant load case and the additional load case.
