Rebecca is an academic guest at the Block Research Group and a PhD Student at the Department of Engineering of Roma Tre University. She received her MSc in structural engineer in 2019 at Roma Tre University with a thesis regarding Distinct Elements Modelling of masonry structures under dynamic/seismic loads. Her research interests include the design of Fabric Reinforced Cementitious Matrix (FRCM) systems for repair and strengthening masonry structures, laboratory testing on FRCM systems and FRCM-strengthened masonry structural members.
Rebecca's interdisciplinary research seeks to integrate the strengthening techniques with FRCM in the assessment of doubly-curved structures such as vaults and domes. She focuses on translating the concept of reinforcement in the optimisation procedures and form-finding processes.
