Artemis Maneka

Artemis is an architect with a focus on structural engineering and material optimization. Her primary interest is to experiment with structural forms to explore opportunities for new materials in full-scale construction projects.

In 2019 she completed her Bachelor and Masters of Science degree in Architecture and Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Her Masters’ Diploma project was focused on floating structures and was distinguished among the best diploma projects of NTUA of years 2018-2019.

During her studies, she worked in Greek offices where she got involved in design and construction projects for residential homes, retail and commercial spaces. Artemis has also worked in international offices such as Topotek1 (Zurich) and MVRDV (Rotterdam) where she participated in numerous competitions in Europe, Asia, and Saudi Arabia. She was responsible for the conceptual and design phase of public and private big-scale complexes, such as high-rise towers with mixed-use programs, commercial and outdoor parks. In 2018 the Dawn Bridge competition of MVRDV in China in which she was involved, won the 1st Prize and is now getting built.

In September 2021 she received her Masters of Advanced Studies in Architecture and Digital Fabrication at ETH. In October 2021 she joined the Block Research Group as a research assistant.
