Hao Wu

Hao Wu has completed his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at Southeast University in Nanjing, China. During his undergraduate study he has spent one exchange semester in TU München. He started his master study in civil engineering at ETH from 2015, with specializations in Konstruktion and Geotechnik.

His interests cover FEM, structural optimization, composite structure, dynamics and seismic design. He has obtained professional experiences from a full-time internship (March-July 2018) in sbp (Schlaich Bergermann Partner) Shanghai, mainly participating in the design of pedestrian bridges and stadiums.

In Fall 2018, he did his Master’s thesis on "Optimisation of vaulted floor elements for acoustic and dynamic performance" at Block Research Group, ETH Zürich, staying on after as student research assistant until July 2019.

Hao will start working at SOM San Francisco in September 2019.
