Aurèle Gheyselinck graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Swiss Federal School of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). During his third year he participated in an exchange programme at the ETH Zurich. He then developed his practical skills through internships at kämpfen für architektur and at Design-to-Production, both offices based in Zurich.
Aurèle's particular interests range from computational design and digital fabrication to sustainable architecture with specific focus on material science and technology such as high-rise timber construction and passive solar design. He is currently studying for his Master of Science in Architecture at the ETH Zurich focusing on merging classically taught architecture with his interests of digital technology. Furthermore, he is eager to understand how this can inform relevant design solutions for future sustainable architecture.
Since October 2018, he has been working as a teaching assistant at the Block Research Group.
