By using the hidden/undocumented command ‘TestMooCow,’ you can synchronize two viewports in Rhino. It will link/unlink two viewports to pan/zoom/rotate in sync.

  1. testmoocow
  2. select primary view(port) : the viewport that you want the other viewport to sync to
  3. select secondary view(port) : the viewport that you want to sync
  4. By using the Rhino command SetObjectDisplayMode, or “Viewport Filter” option for Custom Preview component in Grasshopper, you can make objects appear in only the specified viewport.
  5. testmoocow : entering the command again will stop the synchronized view.
